i certainly can agree w/ u to an extent. in the mainstream world they would probably gain more popularity but also they are firstly getting their msg out to their country ppl tru their own AFRICAN language(s) mainly a mix of luganda/swahili... i commend them stayin tru and not using to much western language. it is a proven fact that our artists from Africa can gain mass popularity without doing the english swag. Youssou N'dour for example is a champion, conquered the worlds ears w/ his music even if wolof is spoken in 2 or so countries. i could name more... this is getting lengthy but in any case, let them sing in their language, its partly an identity, taking that away takes away a part of them and expressing themselves best. ciao

The thing about Youssou Ndour is his music style though. I think his style is more contemporary African, afro-pop and foreign to the mainstream European and African scene. Mowzey & Weasel's style is more reggae, ragga, R&Bish which is inherently a foreign style from the Carribean and the US, etc. Unless, they get onto a major international record label, they may not get the chance to tour the West like Youssou or Angelique do.

However, look at P-Square, which is a very popular group now. They gained their popularity on the continent and in the Diaspora which is the way Mowzey thems will have to go. That's where some English will help them.
