Kwaw Kese is going to take over Africa! He is the king of hip-life movement and am glad MTV has recognized this. He has excellent videos and he just did a video thru MTV on top. The guy is good, the madman is taking over like Akon said, we taking overrrrrrrrrr

Naija will carry these mtv africa awards, the awards are in nigeria so we will carry them. Congrats to 9ice, kokomaster, 2baba, naeto c, i-kills, sasha the first lady and my favorite asa. as for p-square, they are the best and they will win over akon. 9ice is just beginning, after he beats lil weezy and the game, he's going for the grammy

Now, Wahu seems to be having one awesome year! She has a hit album in East Africa, gets a Kora award nomination and now an MTV nomination too! And she just released a video she did with Bobi Wine sponsored by MTV Base Africa! However, I think Nigeria's Asa should win the best female award. She's great and she just transcends Africa.

The two male MTV EMA Best African Acts are all in the running here. Much respect to Jabba, but I think this is between 2Face and D'Banj. It's a toss up but I'll vote for Tuface Idibia.

I know for sure that Samini and P-Square are great performers. D'Banj looks like he can entertain as well, his new album is called Entertainer. Samini is special in performing, but P-Square can dance! I'll go for the dancehall stopper though - Samini

I love P-Square, but I think Freshlyground would carry this one. But then again, P-Square has a lot of fans, as well as Jozi.

Seether is all over South African charts. Would the voters be nice to ColdPlay though? Of course, they have that Viva la vida song. I'll vote for buraka som sistema though.

HHP is straight up hip-hop. But 9ice did perform at that 46664 Mandela concert in London. I'll be voting for 9ice for best hip-hop.

P-Square must win this Best R&B award. No one like you, Ifunaya, Am I still that special man, what else do you want?

Is Jabba going to win anything? I kind of feel bad for him. It would be nice to see Asa win this one, and I'll be voting for her as well.

Abodam!!!!!!!!! Kwaw Kese would be thrilled to get this nomination but it's gonna be tough to take it home. Wahu is not a new act, or is she? 9ice seems like a lock due to the sheer number of Nigerians, but I think Kwaw Kese has more potential than he does. I'll vote for Kwaw Kese.

The Roll it video is excellent, and P-Square just grabbed the Channel O award for their "Do me" video. I think "No one like you" should have nominated though. "Nous" is a nice video too but I've loved the 'Pot Belly' video ever since I saw it. I'll vote for Zolani and co.
