I'm organising a song contest on the internet together with some friends. This is called the World Song Festival and has been running since 1997.
There are 100 countries from all over the world taking part and we have people from around 60 countries judging these songs to find a winning song each year.
We miss some voters from Africa or with African background.
So, if you would like to hear songs from 100 different countries and to judge them, then please write to me: trond.skara@gmail.com
I will give you information on how to download the songs and how to vote.

Can you please tell me about how to download the songs of the year 2008 of World Song Festival and how to vote. Are the arabian countries included? Is it true that you will repeat gothering votes of two tunisian singers (Latifa and Amani Souissi) to choose one of them representing Tunisia in the festival because Latifa's fans were not happy when Amani Souissi won to represent Tunisia this year?

Hey Trond, thanks for informing us about this. Can you give us info on the previous editions of the World Song Festival? Much props for organizing this as well. I don't know much about Tunisian music.
I thought you would just let us know how to vote for the songs here but I guess we'll email you. Let's get the African votes out and make sure African artistes win. You all know the best music comes from Africa, innit? :-D

The contest has been held since 1997, among the winners are Croatia, Ukraine, France, Philippines, USA, Cyprus and Ireland.
African countries have been represented in the contest and some has done well, but there is a lack for African voters.

The Tunisian singer for 2008 was already decided, but in 2009 it will
be another singer again perhaps a new song by Latifa.
Latifa was for Tunisia in 2007, so that's why another singer was
chosen this time.
Besides the voters of each country decide the song to represent their country, and so far we have not had any voters from Tunisia.
In Africa there are voters from Morocco, Ghana, Uganda, South Africa, Namibia and Egypt, but we would need a lot more.
