Verse 2
Mensah, check this out
Do I need to be a victim of ignorance
Pull myself to shame before I know
My Bili, how a man should grow
Cuz my colour black blinds you
Is it overseas that I found you
Where they say, honey you know the flow
What's my purpose on this earth
Just have to be worthless until I break free what they say curses
Do we all have the mission?
Couldn't be no double O nothing
Cuz I can't stand it
Tell a lie wishing
Omar's got enough channels
And I pretty sake of switching
My metaphors deal with my people's hard nixing
And to Ghanaians who don't pay attention
This is what you missing
This is your music
Master Mensah, today, I teach you lesson
Please when I start spoken
Please keep your mouths open
This is no proms so beat open
For real, every Mahmoud ish
So please cease joking
Cuz your BECE's goping
And the industry's hoping
And Mensah C's flowing
Just to keep your freaks coping
Why does Africa rhyme with massacre, it's a disease knowing
Was the brotherman born to suffer for the other man
Esi keep blowing
Situations getting dark, it's like you fuse blowing
You educate an African
And he refuse showing
Well as for me and Mike
We just shining
Keep on rhyming
Rap is the bottomline, so keep the M I C glowing
Hit me off one time and we go

Repeat Chorus

Verse 3

Mensah, a salaam aleikum
Maleikum salaa
Mahu sɛ mo ayɛ bosaa ayɛ sɛdeɛ mo ani kum
Ɛnnɛ megyina mo pono akyi, merebɔ mu pumpum
Nipa tumtum, adɛn na nkunsum kunsum
Ahyɛ w'akoma mu ama wo kanea nyinaa adumdum

Ɔbrafoɔ, who is a star like you
The knowledge and I keep my peoples up all night
Whoever said it was alright
I put my mother Yaa Asantewaa tonight, no fight
Mensah spitting black magic
And I deliver foresight
Here guns, we bring more mics
We are the source of more and more and more mics

Mensah, ɛyɛ me sɛ, mente nisuo
Adɛn mo wirefiri deɛ ɛmaa Yaa Asantewaa, de abufuo, twee tuo
Kaa sɛ fɛreɛ deɛ, ɛnam owuo

This is one of my favourite Obrafour songs ever. Mensa killed the rap too, he was so sick wit it. As for Obrafour, he's one of the best rappers ever out of Africa, his flow is sick with any beat, so all of you who want him to just rap on Hammer's beats can shove your opinions up your ....

Chale's picture

I love this song a lot, it's actually one of my faves.

Loose translations
Sɔre, Obibini sɔre sɔre - Stand up, black man, stand up
Momma yɛn nyɛ baako, sɔre - Let's be one (unite), stand up

Wo mmerɛ aso sɛ wobɛma wo homene so - Your time has come for you to lift yourself up (arise)
Nananom mo ayɛ bi amo wo o - Our forefathers have done some for you
Sɔre o, Africaman - Stand up, Africa

He talks about a lot of issues in this song but basically he calls on the youth to stand up and fight for their nation. He also laments some of the injustices meted out to the Black man in his history.
