Osuofia don come back again with his funny music
Nkem Owoh is one of the most sought after actors in Nollywood, the third biggest movie industry in the world. He is most popular for his role in the blockbuster, Osuofia in London (Parts 1 and 2). Sometime in 2004, he tried his hand on music and delivered the timeless classic I go chop you dollar which was used by ABC's 20/20 television show in their feature on the 419 (advanced fee fraud) phenomenon. Nkem Owoh is back again with more music and he's featuring rappers amongst others. Meet Osuofia the highlife musician. You can see his previous hits at his Museke page. Below are some of the newer tracks.
He features Buddy (of the BD) and Lambo Ginni on a dancehall track called Marry me. The track has ragga, highlife, and behest with funny lyrics. Osuofia is apparently a lawyer. I am wondering if these new songs have to do with the soundtrack of a new movie where Osuofia plays a senior lawyer of some sort. 'I go chop your dollar' was part of the soundtrack for the movie Master, which came out in 2004. Watch the Marry me video
Osuofia goes solo on Olomma. Check the chorus for Olomma: "Olomma, my love for you is physical, perpetual, emotional, fantastical. As a barrister, legal, foundamental, geographical, proportional, critical, paradoxical, intentional, theoretical, international, sensational....." Osuofia is a comedian first, before he is an actor or musician. I think he should start doing some standup, he'll give Clint da Drunk, Basketmouth, Okey Bakassi, Alibaba, a good run for their money. We also have Kiss me quick featuring Lambo Ginni. Is Lambo Ginni on the same record label as Osuofia? Who is producing who? Watch the Kiss me quick video.
Last but not the least, we have the song Barrister. "You dey scatter our head with big grammar, we don tire with your palaver". Watch the video on Agidi.com. Most of the songs are produced by Ossy Affason.
