Chorus
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
Verse 1
I wake up in the warmest beaches – sunrise and gentle breezes,
Birds sing good morning break the night time to peaces,
No boots or sneakers I walk bear foot and my feet just,
Dip into the sand – contemplating on my plans,
And the power in my hands as an African,
You might be laughing – yes – but on the real you probably wouldn’t understand,
Though the technology I’ve got may not be advanced,
I can send a message by beating a bongo with my hands,
And it goes across the land reaching unknown limits,
When we built those pyramids we meant utmost business,
Sling shots turn rocks into missiles,
We mastered the way of communication imitating birds’ whistles,
Don’t you forget it – we’ve endured since the beginning,
The sky’s a boundary it’s not a limit keep striving and keep on reaching,
Surviving and winning have vision,
Pardon my pride but I inherited that from my people.
Chorus
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
Verse 2
I’m rich – everything I need is in my hand,
Satisfied with what I have that’s why I never make demands,
Ey yo I’m hip – hop the lyrics that I drop,
Let them understand the way we play don’t you ever press stop,
And listen – to this celebration as an African,
Ill spit my tradition to the face of the Vatican,
Don’t get me wrong – history is only but a name,
We not spitting game tryna reminisce over pain,
This is ‘medicine man’ - that’s my blaQ’ ‘moki sage’,
We here to tear the roof off this god forsaken place,
Like 1-2-3-4 lets all get down,
This is africanism – everybody raise a pound,
They – must be mistaken ‘cause this is underground,
My – ancestors will tell you that this is our sound,
We the chosen people the closest thing to perfection,
This is - heaven right here we resisting resurrection.
Chorus
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
Verse 3 (bridge)
Beautiful blue skies – butterflies emphasize,
Starry nights mesmerize – take the time to realize,
I know that wherever I may go,
No matter where the wind might blow,
Though the road may be narrow,
I’ll always find my way back home,
I’ll never really be alone,
I’ll always find my way back home.
Chorus
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.
However hard I fall I get right up and that’s what keeps me happy,
Persevere and keep it strong no matter what the world throws at me.

Summery
Briefly, the song talks about Africa and what it means to be African. How we have chosen to acknowledge this is by talking about the good rather than the bad, our achievements rather than what we endured in the past. The chorus has done this in a nice way by simply saying no matter what the world throws at me I’m still here, strong, and however hard I fall I get right back up. We have chosen not to be too literal in our lyrics, but to be more poetic.
The first verse talks about the beauty of being an African and how we have improvised with what we have and that only us as Africans would understand. This is what we are proud of and take pride in. We not saying that we have forgotten the past but we have moved on to bigger and better things and how we have found meaning in the small things that we have rather than what we don’t have.
The second verse comes through with a little more aggression, basically a celebration as an African and pride in our culture and traditions and we should never forget this no matter what. We have not forgotten who we are and it is our pride that keeps us going, we see ourselves as being the closet thing to perfection. This verse also taps into us as artistes and our intentions which are to make everyone ‘get down’ to the music we make, it’s a celebration man.

great song guys!
God bless Africa
I've had the pleasure of listening to the rest of the All Under Heaven album and it truly is a beautiful experience.
No matter what mood i'm in, there is something for me each time.
Rise Up, koldproduk.
Keep making Africans proud
Never judge a cover, cover keep a book closed,
seek what's inside deep down that's how a man grows.
Koldproduk are a sterling example of what message a Hip hop group should be spreading.
Rise up
I saw the video for Eyes Open on MTV Base last week and i was blown away again by this group.
