Nigerian music is in high demand all over Africa these days. It is beginning to rival Congolese music (soukous, lingala music), and Ivorien music (coupe decale) among others. With the international success of Tuface Idibia and D'Banj as winners of MTV EMA's Best African Act in 2005 and 2007 respectively, music from Nigeria is becoming really popular, especially R&B (rhythm and blues) music. What we realise is that the men have been the ones doing most of the heavylifting with artistes like Faze, P-Square, Obiwon, Paul Play, Sound Sultan, Dare Art Alade, Styl-Plusetc. The million naira question is - where are the women? Where dem deyyyyy? Them dey. Here are some.

Oooh I think I may just go to Naija soon.
This is a nice blog. I have been so impressed with Nigerian music myself, infact I would say outside of Southern Africa, Nigerian music probably gets the most airplay in Swaziland, South Africa etc. Thanks to trendsetters like 2face, as you rightly said.
The women are lekker, I didnt knw about them before!
one more video - Naughty girl by Zaina featuring Zara
Had never heard of both musicians, the video is not that bad - I feel it was shot in the US
That zaina song is hot. Love it. This is the type of video naija artists need to put out there.
