Oseyie - Ghana All Stars

YAY! Doesnt it feel gd to be from the Gold Coast??

This is da song to cheer da black stars of Ghana up for CAN 2008 featuring some of da hot artiste from Ghana. Would have loved to see Kwabena Kwabena but he is on his honeymoon(with me right now hehe). The other artistes shd have been on this.

The 'Oseyie' bit was a snippet from Rex Gyamfi's 'Osee yie' with a lil twist..Rex's songs r still gd.

Enjoy

Love the song! E dey bee!

Kwabena Kwabena would have dominated the song hehe, even when he is featured, you think the song is his ;-)
The song has some heavyweights, Obrafour, Samini, Obour, All4Real, Tinny and Chicago. It seems they sang/rapped in Twi, Hausa/Dagaare, Twi, Twi, Ga and Ewe respectively but there was no one singing in English. Why is that? Wouldn't have been bad to feature Reggie Rockstone or Kwaku T from Big Brother Africa rapping in English.

Also, I realised there were a lot of religious lines in the song, but no gospel artiste. Why now? And no female musicians? Huh? It's all good, next time.

I need this track,

Did I hear someone say One Logologo line in this vid?
Hehehehe, cuteness galore.
All these flags, they really are painting the stars black eh. Lekker. But me where is Mzbel!

Yeah someone did say One logologo line in the video.

Genevieve Nnaji had a song with VIP with that same name too, pretty good.

Here is Rex Gyamfi's 'osee yie' I stated in my post above.
Actually the all stars 'oseyie' was composed loosely around Rex's. different lyrics though

Enjoy!

There is also a song about the CAN 2008 and the Black Stars by Amandzeba Nat Brew featuring Shasha Marley and Root-I and it's pretty good with some 'Womba, womba' chorus which is in Ga. There is also one featuring DL (aka Daddy Lumba).

I believe there are many songs like this to come.

heard the Nat Brew song on Adom FM which claims it is also the official radio station for the upcoming Ghana CAN 2008 Football competition. Abeiku Santana was in the mood and he played a number of Black Stars songs like the Obia nye obia Black Stars remix by Sidney, Yenie by Grace Ashy and God bless our homeland Ghana ei aka the Black Stars official anthem which came out of Joy FM's competition a couple of years ago.

Will be looking for the songs myself

Amandzeba's Womba has been getting all the airplay. The video is also very nice.
