…..
Ebe true I miss Poppy
I miss Mommy
Au revoir to uptown Salome
Afrik dey be

…..
Even the taxes we dey pay pay
I am done with the rules and laws
My teeth no go rot, I am done with the junk
My tuo zaafi dey solidify real hard
Can’t wait and go back and fill up my tank
…..
Old lady go like touch in son
On phone, she dey tell me more and more
It’s a shame to run away from where you belong
G O G O M to the E
On the Quick Action with the B A T
Another red carpet, you naa you dey see
Verse 2 - Samini
This goes to every man who is living in another man’s land
Repatriate and go back and take care of your own land
Let’s go
Come let’s go
Pack up all belongings, let’s go
One way ticket is all we need
Home call, I wann go
Home to Africa yei
Ain’t no place like Mama Africa yei
Every African must go
This is home call and it’s good to go
Every man get up on your toe
Head towards the place you call your home
Africa is our home so let’s sacrifice from flesh to the bone
They want to mash it down but
It remains the hardest sone
Come let’s go, I say
Let’s go home and stay
And make it a better place for each and everybody
Come let’s go, I say
Let’s go home and stay
And make it a better place for each and everybody

The following is in Dagaare, language of the Dagaati people in Northern Ghana.
Sakatumbele (I am assuming it is a chant of some kind- meaning unknown to me)
Ansoma---Good morning
Tumbele----(Chant)
Yeminaa---Good afternoon
Zimanee----Good evening
Ziemanyen----- Fine evening (response to good evening)
Dewbison----Is your home fine?
Ka abiihi---- How are the children?
Ka atima---- How is work?
Ka ajamaa--- A greeting to a crowd
Ye wa ka ti kuli Dagao - Dagaares, come let's go home
Ye wa ka ti kuli Dagaati - Dagaatis, come let's go home
Mu du ka daya --- We are all one *(Hausa)*
Shie saa koowa ezoo muyi rawa --- And so we should all come and dance *(Hausa)*
Wala, Dagaaba, nin Lobi ye wa ka ti sew baawa--- Walas, Dagaabas and Lobis (all three are tribes) come let us dance baawa (the name of a dance)
Hi Chale,
Are u a guy? Anyway, great job done to translate Samini's words, i've been trying to know what he's saying all this while. Thank God u came along. Can u teach me simple things in Dagaare, things like being able to understand questions when I go back to Ghana. And are you a Dagaati like Samini?
My e-mail is: ******
Please teach me so that I can "ye wa ka ti Ghana(kul)i", hahha. I believe "ye" stands for "we". How would you say: I, you, she, he, it, girl, boy, book etc. You know, things like that.
Thank you very much
Sheila
i never heard this samini song, ohh, i love it. give us more songs with Dagaare and Hausa
Hello Sheila, thanks for the complement. The lyrics are actually from Samini himself and it was a friend who translated the Dagaare portions.
I'll get in touch with you.

His new album is actually called Dagaati, which is the language in which some of the lyrics in the song is sung in.
