DJ Sbu is one of the biggest deejays in South Africa. He plays house music, kwaito, etc.
He won the song of the year award for his remake of Josh Groban's "Remember when it rained", part of his debut album.
He is an avid reader and is bent on helping improve the South African music industry.
DJ Sbu named his debut compilation album "Y-Lens Vol. 1" after a show on YFM called Y-lens, a weekday drive show which he hosts. He also hosts the television show "Friends Like These" on SABC 1.
DJ Sbu presented a talent search youth show “Gumba Fire” which was played on SABC1.
He's the co-owner of TS Records.

i bealive that cape town has a powerful talent that needs to be discovered.actually i can say we we don't have opportunities because every thing about music you need to go to joburg.

sbu u rock man....
Sbu is still wining awards .. He just won the Best Compilation Album award at the recent Metro FM awards. I'm sure the DJs are getting ready to battle it out this festive season. Last year, DJ Sbu took it by storm with his dance tunes that were played everywhere and anywhere, I wonder who it's going to be this year.

dont get me wrong i love dj sbu but i think the guy is going through things that no one one can explein 1st his gril friend dies 2nd the eskom story 3rd speed driving 4rh his HIV POSETIVE THEN HIS NOT WHATS UP MAN????? OH I WOULD LOVE TO BE ON THE TV SHOW FRIENDS LIKE THIS PLS SEND ME A LINK. AND FOR SBU GET HELP.
