Blu3 may have earned Channel O music video award nominations but they have stiff competition from this girl-group back home called Obsessions.
Meet Obsessions in their video, Jangu that is bound to pack dance floors across the continent
Obsessions began as unisex pop and dance group singing in mostly Luganda. Some of their influences include Congolese lingala, pop, R&B, and dancehall. It was made up of the men - Arthur Kanyesigire, Michael Kasaija, Martin Mugonyi, Charlie Muzahura, Remmy Lubega and the women - Sharon Salmon, Cleopatra Koheirwe, Jackie Tusiime and Brenda Namb. Behind the scenes were people like Silver Kyagulanyi, Remmy Lubega, and Ronnie Mulindwa. They earned a Pearl of Africa music award (PAM) on the back of many popular songs like Nod ya head, House gal, Dance with me (video below)
The men have since left the group and left the group in the hands of these strong women who have not lost any gears and continue to make the group popular. They have been nicknamed the Pussycat dolls of Uganda. and their Wekume video caused controversy within Ugandan circles.

The Obsessions group has been known for its dance moves and have helped foster a niche for dance groups in East Africa. Choreographers have found a place in the music industry and the music is not limited to the ghetto blasters and radios in the wake of scintillating performances and entertaining videos.
The strength of women in the Ugandan music scene is not limited to groups like Obsessions Gals and Blu3 as the success of Juliana Kanyomozi, Judith Babirye, Dorothy Bukirwa, and Iryn Namubiru would testify.

Those are some nice videos. African music is changing and this is some good R&B stuff. The dances are great too.
Those girls can dance paa! On some Destiny's Child, haha
the obsessions website is shit wats the point of putin it up wen cant even acess anything do some thing abt it whoever made it for u a stupid coz he is killin ur business next destiny child pls!!!!!!!!
the website is dormant. It looks pretty; but it needs to be simplified and information put in it. What is the need of puting a website that has no information in it. Do these girls know what negative impact in terms of information dissemination they are being subjected to by trusting guys who dont know how to set up a running website. We are interested in the information, not the damn colors in the website. Change that now.....and let the beautiful girls enjoy publicity.
check the website again, it's up
Check out Feel me, the girls are backkkkk
