Daddy Lumba's real name is Charles Kojo Fosu, and he was part of the famed Sibo brothers (together with Nana Acheampong) that made Burger highlife popular.
The evergreen artiste is known to have released over 20 albums, religiously producing or making an album of his own every single year. He even released a couple of gospel albums. He is jokingly referred to as Ghana's Michael Jackson.
He is one of the most sought-after Ghanaian musicians and has been organizing sold-out concerts everywhere he goes. He has acquired a knack for making profane songs too. After his blockbuster hit called Aben wo aha which was declared profane and not suitable for airplay, all songs that were deemed 'profane' and released after it could not run for any music award in Ghana. Hence, his follow-up hit called Asee ho (which ultimately helped John Agyekum Kuffour win the 2000 presidential election) was banned from running for awards and 2004 hits Konkontiba by Obour and Linda by Batman Samini had to go to a panel to argue why their songs should be allowed to run for Ghana music awards because they were seen to have elements of profanity.
He has also helped unearth number of artistes including Ofori Amponsah (Mr. All4Real) who he did the Wo ho kyere album with and Mr. Borax, with whom he churned out hit songs like Asee ho, Pantoma, Odo bewu dee, etc. He also did a couple of gospel albums, notably with Selina Charles.

DL doesn't stop! This must be his 21st album or so. Obi ate me so boO (remix) is still riding high on Ghanaian music charts but he's already released a new album. The album is called Agenda after last year's Holiday which had tracks like Tokrom, etc.
I have heard one of the tracks, goes something like 'Fa wo ho di E?' and it features Obrafour. It is being played a lot on afternoon shows like Adom FM's Ofie kwan so, etc and am sure it would be a hit. I mean a song with Daddy Lumba AND Obrafour has to be a hit.
Daddy Lumba is a serious businessman, wants to produce drugs (pharmaceuticals), drinks, new clothing line, etc. More power to him

Hehe, yeah the Pony video is something else. I don't ever recall it being shown on TV though. DL's songs are played on TV and radio, just not the video under discussion. His latest album had Tokrom and Holiday, probably as profane as Pony, but they don't have videos, as far as am concerned.
Ateaa Tina is a good singer, she pretty much did the whole Bubra album with DL. Kinda frustrating she didn't go solo afterwards, because she was following right on the heels of All4Real who did one album with DL and then went solo. Haven't heard much of her lately, she's probably doing some backup singing for some musicians now. This is her time, with the Nana Fremahs, Ewuresis, etc doing great, she could be successful on her own too.
