Ama Boahemaa is a gospel musician from Ghana, based in Kumasi. Even though her music is gospel, it incorporates reggae and highlife rhythms.
Her debut album, Awurade bue Kwan, earned her five nominations at the Ghana Music Awards.
She is noted for recording her songs straight from her head without writing down the lyrics, thereby churning out songs which relate her very life and existence to her listeners.
