Louise Carver’s new album ‘Look To The Edge’ was released in ....South Africa.... on February 15th, 2010. The album's 1st single ‘Warrior’ featuring Zulu Boy is currently being delivered to all South African contemporary radio. With ‘Look To The Edge’, Louise wanted to achieve an edgier electronic/pop progression with an infusion of South African rhythms and percussion into her sound that would have strong appeal to both South African and international audiences. This was a major theme in her approach to the song writing and production of the new album. ....

‘Look To The Edge’s 1st single ‘Warrior’ featuring Zulu Boy is the album’s leading example of this infusion. Louise Carver wrote ‘Warrior’ with a particular rhythm in mind and then combined Zulu drums into an exciting electronic sound to complete the song. Zulu Boy stood out as a great potential collaborator for ‘Warrior’ both to re-enforce its message as well as to legitimise the musical references that created it. His compelling rap and contribution to the percussive sounds in the song shot ‘Warrior’ forward as the best way to introduce ‘Look To The Edge’ as the albums 1st single to Louise Carver’s substantial South African audience......

Kwabena Kwabena - Game Changer for African Music

Kwabena, Kwabena will be making his first appearance in America in New York City, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Park Central Ballroom courtesy of Boogie Down Nima Productions.

If there is a face to African indigenous soul music movement, it is probably Kwabena Kwabena. The respect he receives from other artists has been driven by his uncompromising success as well as from the unselfishness he has shown in support of other up-and-coming singers and musicians. A tirelessly touring artist, Kwabena, Kwabena vocals can be heard on countless albums by other artists such as Daddy Lumba, Okyeame Kwame , Tinny , Kontihene , Castro, and Obrafour. That peer love appears to only be exceeded by the near fanatical following he has among a surprisingly large fan base, both old and young, making him a sort of Highlife soul royalty. Kwabena, Kwabena has dominated African radio and he is quickly changing the game and the sound of African Highlife music.

Ola!

Last week Koldproduk shot a music video with French artiste Greg Basso in Johannesburg.
We had the talented brothers from Gorilla films direct it, themed around Alice In Wonderland, and the whole thing was shot in green screen.

We invited various media, and also shot some behind- the-scenes and conducted interviews - it was great

T*Spark played Alice, Moki played The Jester, and Greg played The Mad Hatter, while some friends form bookFace and Freeze Frame played various other roles in the music video.
And you can see pimp DJ Soosh in stylish character there as well.
