Kojo Antwi features Yvonne Nelson in his Adiepena video
Mr. Music man, Kwadwo Antwi, has always had great music videos. In the first music video from his latest Mwaah album, Adiepena, he features renowned Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, in it.
Kojo Antwi features Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson in his newest video, Adiepena. This is not the first time Ghanaian actresses have played major roles in Ghanaian music videos. The late Suzzy Williams featured in VIP's continental hit, Ahomka womu as well as Reggie Rockstone's Channel O award-winning video for Fame bone kye me (Ah) featuring K. K. Fosu. I'll like to see more of these where Ghanaian music and movies combine. We've seen the musicians contributing greatly to soundtracks and it would be great to see the actors and actresses play important roles in the music videos. It will go hand in hand to make both industries more popular in Africa and beyond.

Welcome to Ghana by Samini
This music video, directed and edited by Omari Pili, is Samini's personal version of the popular Damian Marley track Welcome to Jamrock. He sings about being in Ghana and welcoming people to Ghana.
Samini is a versatile artist out of Ghana, West Africa. Titled 'Welcome to Ghana', the video was done during a special production in 2007. They were there doing a documentary but then took some time out to do a music video. The directors met with Samini and loved his vibe and then chose to film a quick video. It was only now publicly released because the director was simply too busy to get it out.
From the producer, Firebon, "He is a talented guy who deserves all the success, if you can use it to help him I will help as much as I can".

Last week Koldproduk shot a music video with French artiste Greg Basso in Johannesburg.
We had the talented brothers from Gorilla films direct it, themed around Alice In Wonderland, and the whole thing was shot in green screen.
We invited various media, and also shot some behind- the-scenes and conducted interviews - it was great
T*Spark played Alice, Moki played The Jester, and Greg played The Mad Hatter, while some friends form bookFace and Freeze Frame played various other roles in the music video.
And you can see pimp DJ Soosh in stylish character there as well.

Discussing Akon's charity single 'Oh Africa'

When I was notified of Akon's new video, Oh Africa, I was intrigued by the song's name. Oh Africa? What did Africa do again? Is Akon going to lambast us? Shouldn't he be on our side, praising the motherland? Is it a public service announcement? I hope it's a song from his upcoming album. Well, it turns it is a 'charity single' and he does praise Africa in this video. This new video is geared towards the upcoming World Cup in South Africa and he sings "This is our time to shine, our time to fly". It surely is. I don't know why he's hiding the music video he made for Mama Africa. Trust me, I know the video has been shot. I know people who have the video on their computers. I hope the Mama Africa video is finally released this year. Kudos to Akon for 'Oh Africa' and continuing to rep the motherland big!
