Mteja, a collaborative effort between diverse artistes Wahu, Juliani, Roba (Kalamashaka), Lyn, Wenyeji ,Kanjii and the International Commission Of Jurists (Kenya) has been birthed to deliver a significant message. A message about the right to information as well as its importance to the youth.This song is done with the conviction that we all have a right to know thing like-how much of the CDF money is spent and how.

Voices of the Future : African Children's Choir

They may go unnoticed as we jam to kwaito, soukouss, highlife and bongo flava, but the African Children's Choir is a strong presence whose mission we all need to be in support of. Made up of the most precious of faces and the most delicate of voices, the choir comprises of young African children aged between 7 and 11. Many of them have lost a parent or two to famine and disease, some are HIV positive orphans. They speak different languages and are from various countries around the continent, but they have united in one voice to represent and raise awareness to the issues concerning AIDS orphans from all over Africa. They were recently featured in the "Blood Diamond" movie's soundtrack. They have shared stages with personalities such as Miriam Makeba, Thandiswa Mazwai, Josh Groban, Wyclef Jean, Michael W. Smith to name a few, and have been successful in raising significant funds towards supporting and educating their brothers and sisters throughout the continent.
MTV BASE tunes into FM radio in Kenya
Nairobi, 1 August 2007: Entertainment channel MTV base and Kenya’s premiere radio station, Capital FM, have teamed up to re-define how young adults consume media by introducing MTV Total Request Live (TRL) Radio, an exciting new radio property for the Kenyan young-adult market.
MTV TRL Radio, a weekly 2-hour radio show makes its debut on Capital FM on 3 August 2007. A unique mix of the hottest hip-hop and R&B tunes, MTV TRL Radio also combines the latest entertainment news with interviews from the biggest stars, leveraging MTV’s global access to A-list musicians and entertainers around the globe. Kenyan radio fans have already had a taste of what’s expected on the show, with regular 1-minute entertainment clips featured daily on Capital FM called MTV TRL All Access.
