Sierra Leone Music Television Awards 2008
The First Annual SLMTV Awards were held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 8pm at the Hampton Conference Hall in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The event honored those that had excelled in the entertainment industry, as well as those individuals and companies that are promoting and raising awareness of Sierra Leone culture through business and community service.

Can you tell us more? Who is it among and what is it about?
I thought a lot of Sa Leone's music is about politics and addressing social concerns, how could they have time for beefs? :-)
How come every time Kow goes to Freetown he has beef with a different artist. I like his songs but it seems like the problem is with him, not them. And what about the other Blackleo artists? Supa Laj, Shine and RJ are my favorite. Cow should be concentrate on making international music instead of fighting with the local Sierra Leone artists. Laj impreses me with his english and krio flows, If he and cow made an album it wud be nice. Lyrically it wud be sick. Laj and Kao and Blackleo are our Tupac and Jay-z . They just need to step it up to that level.
