Cee was born Cynthia Appiah-Kubi on April 10, 1986. She is a gospel musician from Ghana and is nicknamed 'Powerful Voice'.
She dropped out of senior secondary school in her second year due to serious financial difficulties she faced after her father, who provided for her was deported from Germany in 1991.
Even though she went through a lot in her youth, including a wicked aunt, she kept up well and had a great moral upbringing which stemmed from the strong religious and moral training she received from childhood.
While taking refuge at a church house, the House of Salvation, at Kwadaso Agric., a suburb of Kumasi, she decided to form a singing group called Shabo. The feedback she got from her performances gave her the motivation to take part in the TV3 Mentor II Show. After failed attempts to get in, she was finally used as a last minute substitute as part of the Ashanti region representatives. She spent just six weeks in the house but made a serious impression on the viewing public and music fans.
Her problems with singing English songs in the contest caused her eviction but her excellence at rendering Twi songs ultimately made a star when she released her debut album called Osaberima. The album features Isaac (Showboy) and Isaiah Great Kwadwo Ampong of Mentor I fame. The songs were written by Nana Yaw Asare, Isaac, Ampong and Cynthia herself.
She is produced by Bandex Music Productions
Some of her songs include Awurade fie, Nhyira ba, Kae me, Mehia wo, etc.

I love Cee so much and I am happy for her. I liked her when she was in mentor, people were saying she was not slim things and so forth but she won the hearts of many Ghanaians and we will continue to support her.
Keep on singing Cynthia and may God help you maintain that powerful voice
