Ernest Nii Okai is one of Ghana's gospel musicians. Born in 1977, he grew up singing in churches and everywhere he could find himself.
He had his primary education at Tema Parents Association School and proceeded to Mfantispim Secondary School in Cape Coast for his ordinary and advanced level education. He then pursued and completed a programme in Economics and French at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He worships at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Tema,
He co-founded Harbour City Mass Choir. His maiden album, Moko be, was hailed as a masterpiece.
He also is a big part of the soundtrack for the groundbreaking movie, Ananse Must Die. Ananse Must Die is an animated movie centered around Kweku Ananse (the most popular character in Ghanaian folk stories) and is produced by Parables Productions.
He is a professional banker with the Standard Chartered Bank.
Some of his songs include Hwan na, Obiara nte se wo, Hosanna, Gye wayeyi. Ma jie oyi, Makpasa le, Praise Joint I and II, W'apepa, Hallelujah, Afro Chant, Beso hwe, Wontse bo.
