Richie Mensah is an R&B musician from Ghana. Richie, a.k.a. "The Beat Maker", was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. A true African who is not afraid to explore all aspects of the world he lives in. He has two siblings, Angela and Albert. His family, especially his mother, have been his greatest inspiration and encouragement through the rough journey to where he is now.
From childhood, Richie-the Beat Maker was tipped to be one of the biggest faces the music world would ever know. His music talents, he discovered at the age of 6 and has astounded crowd with his musical dexterity ever since.
He outdoored his debut album (which took 4 years of hard work) at 21. “All of Me” is like music never before heard within Ghanaian shores, it blends music of different origin and diverse cultures in a perfect mix that is refreshing, remarkable and potentially everlasting in the minds of listeners. Richie is a stickler for perfection and this is evident in the quality of music he produces. His music incorporates all aspects of his life.
He is a sound producer, sound engineer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and a singer but ironically, studied Science, at Achimota School, one of Ghana's top secondary schools (Class of 2003). It is rather interesting that Richie has not had any training whatsoever in music; he has tutored himself through the years to develop into a fine musician. He runs his own record label, LYNX ENTERTAINMENT, which he set up whiles studying Computer Software Engineering at NIIT.
Over the years he has devoted himself and channeled all his energy into developing as a MUSICIAN and an ENTREPRENEUR. He has worked with renowned Ghanaian artists, such as Tinny on "Now I know", Batman Samini, Wutah, and Amandzeba. Others are Scientific, Kofi Nti, Irene & Jane. Among those he has worked with include Nigeria’s International Award winner 2face Idibia.
Some of his songs include One night stand, More of that, Shabote, etc
