Before Mikaya (Michaih) Behaylu got a Kora award nomination, I had never heard of her. I knew of the famous Teddy Afro, Aster Aweke, Johnny Ragga and Neway Debebe. Some of these artistes have gotten Kora award and Channel O nominations in the past.

Who are the top Ethiopian musicians today and what songs are reigning? I know Ethiopia is a country of about 70 million people, the rest of Africa deserves to know. :-) That's a Sarah Palin wink for y'all Habeshas (especially the konjo ladies) out there.
