Cize (as she is called by friends), or Cesaria Evora, is a Morna musician from Cape Verde. She has become one of Africa's international music superstars, riding her great voice and great persona. She has also been nicknamed the 'barefoot diva' due to her habit of performing barefooted. Some of her popular songs include Besame mucho, Petit Pays, Angola, Sao Vicente de long, Nutridinha and Sangue de Beirona.

Her newest album Nha Sentimento was released in October 2009. It included 14 tracks mainly written by her two fetish authors Manuel de Novas and Teofilo Chantre.
