Her passion for writing were born when she was only 14 years old.

This Windhoek based RnB/Soul singer-songwriter, first made her entrance onto the Namibian music scene in 1995 along side Bollie Mootseng (popular Namibian singer and television producer) and T.C (now member of the Kalaharians) with the ever popular song ‘Ibababye ja

She then dropped the music scene and spent more attention on her poetry and theatre through the now defunct Bricks Community Project. In 2001, she came back and became a member of the music group (X-PLODE), with members Jaicee James and Lizell Swartz.

Gal Level is an R&B girl group from Namibia made up of Daphne Willibard and Frieda Haindaka. They are very popular in Namibia and recently got nominated for the Channel O Africa music awards. They have been compared to Destiny Child.

The duo have lived together for 8 years. Once members of the dungeon family, Daphne and Frieda combined their talents to form "Gal level". After the dungeon family broke up in 2000 the girls reconnected with Sula who had also been the manager of dungeon family.

    Lazarus 'Karandu' Shiimi

Gazza is one of Namibia’s leading artistes and rappers. His real name is Lazarus 'Karandu' Shiimi and he was born in Oshakati in Northern Namibia.

Lazarus Shiimi was always interested in music. He formed a band in primary school.
He attended a white high school called Etosha, where he joined choirs but also got very fascinated with Kwaito. He was also a skilled soccer player in his youth and he was nicknamed Gazza because his style was like that of Paul Gascoigne, a famous English footballer. The name stuck and now it is his music name as well.

    Lady May

Lady May is a singer from Namibia but was born in Angola. Lady May started singing seriously and writing her own lyrics from the age of 12.

When she was 18, she released her debut album called ‘Kamaali' which in the Namibian language, Oshiwambo, means Little Martha’) in 2005. She performs She combines R&B sounds with Afro-pop and traditional music from Namibia.

Lady may's recent hit, Chokola, was shot in Namibia in two locations by Tim Huebschle as part of an MTVBase Africa initiative.

Also known as the KWAITO MASTER and christened as Moroky , THE DOGG has taken the Namibian music industry by storm with his ear-catching lyrics and body-moving beats. Born on the 31st of March 1983 in the town of Maheba, Zambia, he was repatriated back home to Namibia where he began his formal education at Onayena Primary School situated in East Ondangwa, a town in the north of Namibia.
