JR aka Tabure Thabo Bogopa Junior is a South African rapper.

He's South Africa's latest Hip Hop phenomenon. A late eighties baby ready to claim rank amongst the HipHop illuminati. JR - Hip Hop’s poet has been getting requests from local and Zimbabwean artists. In 2003, JR launched the crew “Rhythm and Poetry”, which ultimately helped be the catalyst for record company offers.

In 2007, JR got signed with Independent Music label, Electromode Music.

JR’s current track, Gata Le Nna has already received massive attention on Urban radio across South Africa, and the call for his album and live performances have been unbelievable, to say the least.

JR’s debut album, The Main Event, was released in April 2008.

His second album, ColourFull, was released in 2009 and featured the major hit, Show dem, featuring HHP (Jabba).

JR is actively involved with HIV / Aids Awareness for the youth of today and is an ambassador for SCRUTINIZE
