Eedris Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja is a Nigerian hip hop artist who was raised in Kano. Eedris first featured in a popular Nigerian hip hop group called the Remedies, together with Eddy Montana and Tony Tetuila. The name Remedies was adopted from Eedris' stage name in school, Mr. Remedy. The group disbanded when some differences arose on a nationwide tour.

On the Kennis Music label, Eedris Abdulkareem's debut, P.A.S.S. ("Pains And Stress = Success") was released in 2002. He followed this with the controversial Mr. Lecturer album whos title track was a widespread hit and drew a lot of controversy.
Taking a cue from other Nigerian artistes like Fela Kuti, Lagbaja, etc, he released Jaga Jaga, a socially conscious song that decried corruption and hardship in Nigeria. Its effect was heavy as President Olusegun Obasanjo banned it from radio airplay in a televised address. Eedris is never short of controversy and he took this international when he got into a misunderstanding with America's 50 cent during the latter's tour of the country. He released a track, 50minutes of madness with 50 cent as some kind of response.

His 2005 album addressed Obasanjo's criticisms and actions, as well as a tribute (Flash up unu Lighter) to his wife, Stella, who died while undergoing surgery in Spain, and the victims of the Bellview Airlines crash of October 2005.

He has his own record label called La Kreem Music and is the the founder of the Eedris Abdulkareem Foundation, a fundraising organization dedicated to fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa in conjunction with the Pat Utomi Foundation.

Some of his popular songs are Oko achewo, Crisis, Jaga jaga, Mr. Lecturer, Flash up unu lighter, Segarin Kano, Brenda Fassie (tribute), Sade.

His last album ‘Mr president’ was an absolute failure. Four years after hi December 4, 2008 airport altercation with the G-Unit crew, Eedris is still paying the price of his mis-deed. Now, he’s back with another album where, like he has become known for, he says one thing this minute, and contradicts it the next.

Hey lakreem, i've always luv 2 hear ur music coz it contains package of intellectualism. I dey feel u! Peace out

Intellectualism? Are you talking about Mr. lecturer? Is that an intellectual song? I like how he takes on different issues and brews controversy if he needs to. Who can forget Jaga jaga? That song ruffled a lot of feathers. 50 Seconds show, Letter to Mr. President, this guy is for real. Africa needs more musicians like him.
