Abrewa Nana is known in real life as Dorcas Opoku Darkwah and is one of Ghana's premier female rappers and hiplife artistes. She is called Abrewa Nana because apparently she was named after her grandmother. Abrewa means 'grandmother' and 'nana' means grandchild - effectively tracing back to herself.
The trained accountant, dancer and singer was the first female to release a hiplife album.
