Bollie's real name is Ishmael Hamid. Bollie (Boli) was featured on (Edward Osei Poku) Hammer's Sounds of our time compilation. His track, You may kiss your bride was the biggest hit from the album and was on the charts for several weeks.
He based his hit song on the most interesting part of any wedding ceremony where the priest or the pastors says the groom may kiss the bride. He felt that the song would help preserve the marriage institution song to that effect it would go far. The song addresses the good and bad sides of marriage.
