Shatta Rako was born Rexford Kojo Amoah. His parents are Justice Charles Amoah and Ms. Mercy Mensah. He is a ragga/dancehall artiste from Ghana.
Rako comes from his initials – Rexford Amoah Kojo while Shatta means shooter, as a gun man.
He attended CRIG primary in New Tafo, and then went on to Adisadel college in Cape Coast. He gained admission to KNUST (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) as part of the graduating class of 2003. He started performing in Adisadel (Adisco), on stage and at shows.
