In the last few years, Rebecca has become known as South Africa's Queen of Gospel and has performed with her band Pure Magic both across South Africa and internationally.
She grew up in Nelspruit, South Africa, where she had to work on a tobacco farm with her sisters, taking the chance to sing whenever they could. She first entered the South African music scene through various unsuccessful trials in different nationwide talent shows, but eventually won the Best Female Vocalist in the Shell Road to Fame talent show.
