Awilo Longomba is a famous musician from DR Congo (Zaire) and a soukous artist. He is heavily influenced by his father, Vicky Longomba, who was the lead singer and founder of Tout puissant OK Jazzâduring the golden age of Congolese rumba. Awilo is popular for hits like Coupe bibamba, Abidjan debout and Karolina. He is also the uncle of the Kenyan group, Longombas.

Makoma is a gospel group from the Democratic Republic of Congo. It consists of 3 brothers and 3 sisters from the same family and the seventh member is a friend. The group members are Nathalie Makoma (lead singer), Annie Makoma, Pengani Makoma, Tutala Makoma, Duma Makoma, Martin Makoma, and Patrick Badine. Annie is a tailor who plays a leading role in the design of most of the group's stage attire, and Martin doubles up as the group's choreographer. They sing in English and Lingala.

They started performing as a group in 1995 as a group called Nouveau Testament.

Fally Ipupa, AKA Di Caprio, is one of the most popular Congolese musicians. he was born in Kinshasa to Ipupa Ebombo and Bolotuli Mbo.

He sang with various groups including New City (Nouvelle alliance), Talents Latens, etc. He was once one of the singers of Koffi Olomide's Quartin Latin from 1999. He did a solo on their Monde arabe album, called Pharmacien. He also composed Ko Ko Ko (on Affaire d'etat), and Eternellement (on Force de frappe).

Fally claims to be inspired by Koffi's lyrics, Papa Wemba's voice, but also by Werrason and JB Mpiana.

Papa Wemba is one of Africa's music superstars. He hails from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was born Jules Shungu Wembadio Pene Thabani Kikumba in 1949 in Lubefu (Kasai - DR Congo).
