He is heavily influenced by his father, Vicky Longomba, who was the lead singer and founder of Tout puissant OK Jazzâduring the golden age of Congolese rumba. The group members are Nathalie Makoma (lead singer), Annie Makoma, Pengani Makoma, Tutala Makoma, Duma Makoma, Martin Makoma, and Patrick Badine. Annie is a tailor who plays a leading role in the design of most of the group's stage attire, and Martin doubles up as the group's choreographer. They sing in English and Lingala.
